On Wednesday February 24th at 07:01 the Millstone Twp Fire Department was dispatched to 4 Bergen Mills Rd for a vehicle fire with exposure.  Englishtown Fire Department was also automatically dispatched.  As units began to respond addtional information was received reporting multiple calls on the fire and that a structure was on fire.  Additional mutual aid was dispatched from Monroe Fire Dist #2 and Manalapan Fire Co #1.  Englishtown's Deputy Chief Tim Kirkland (12-67) arrived and confirmed a vehicle fire that extended into the residence.  Chief Jim Carbin (32-66) arrived and requested additional mutual aid as well as establishing command.  Squirt 3290 arrived and the crew led off with 2.5" handline quickly knocking down the exterior fire and then initiating an aggressive interior attack.  Mutual aid companies arrived and placed additional handlines into service as well as venting the roof.  Other mutual aid companies that assisted scene or provided coverage were Freehold Independent, Freehold Boro, Jackson Mills, Hightstown, and Hope Fire Company.
