The Millstone Twp First Aid Squad was dispatched to the intersection of Route 537 and Interstate 195 for a motor vehicle accident. BLS 3259 arrived and after evaluating the driver of a passenger car requested that the Millstone Twp Fire Department be dispatched for extrication services. Chief Carbin (3266) arrived and assumed command. Engine 3275 (R.Gesualdo) and Rescue 3285 (Fiore) arrived, stabilized the vehicle, and placed the hydraulic rescue tools into service. Due to the patients injuries the crews removed all of the vehicles’ doors, the driver side B post, and performed a roof flap. The crews also assisted EMS with removing the patient from the vehicle. The New Jersey State Police and the Jackson Twp Police Department were also on scene.
