Train to Save Lives and Property
Our volunteer firefighters and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) are certified by the State of New Jersey. Regular drills keep our skills sharp and up to date. These drills often simulate emergency scenes at county fire academies, giving you a realistic way to test and hone your skills.

How You Can Make a Difference
Running a fire company requires a wide range of skill sets—there’s a role for you in what we do!
Firefighter: Save lives and property during fires and other home emergencies.
Rescue Operations Technician: Respond to motor vehicle accidents and fires. Extinguish fires and rescue occupants.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Provide basic life-saving care and transportation to the sick and injured.
Fire Police: Direct traffic and bystanders around emergency scenes.
Support Member: Take on non-emergency duties, such as administrative, educational, maintenance, and fundraising. Utilize your special skills and knowledge to help the fire department.
Junior Firefighter (16–17 Years Old): Participate in training drills and respond in a support role at actual emergency incidents.

What We Need From You
Firefighting is rewarding—but hazardous—work. Emergency medical technicians bring calm to chaos, delivering life-saving care and prompt transportation. Volunteers require specialized training, teamwork, and continuing education to ensure their own safety and that of the community. Therefore, we need a strong:
Commitment to respond and train
Desire to learn, improve, and be challenged
Understanding of the responsibilities and requirements for a member to remain in good standing
Certifications Required
Firefighters must obtain New Jersey Firefighter I certification
EMTs must obtain NREMT/State of New Jersey EMT certification
